Who hasn’t gotten scratched or cut on the finger? I think some people take their hands very much for granted. They are always there and always (no pun intended) handy. If you look a little bit deeper into the art of palmistry you will begin to discover that everything that happens to your hands is in relation to either the past, present or future. If you are reading this post first I suggest you go back and read The Future is In Your Hands Part 1 and Part 2 so that you can understand some of the concepts I am about to throw around.
Scratches On The Fingers
There are a lot of little nuances in palmistry that could cover a whole book and then some! But today in this third installment we will cover just the scratches, cuts and wounds that could appear on the fingers and what they mean. Scratches can occur anywhere on the fingers or hands. They typically denote a trauma, whether or emotional (which is usually what it means) or physical. So lets take a look.
See all of the lines? Yes, the little red ones, those indicate cuts and scratches which are of great meaning when analyzing the palm. You see if you have a cut on the hand or fingers it means that something recent happened that will affect the future or present, it could also mean that past wounds will be opened. Scars work the same way. I remember one time a man had a minute pin prick scar at the lower end of his life line, it was a deep scar though. The deeper the scar the deeper the trauma. Since this was on the life line it meant that he had some sort of near death type experience. Where life was in jeopardy or life stopped for him for a moment. He smiled when I said that because when he was nineteen he found out he had cancer. But his life line did not stop there which indicated that he would be okay. He is now forty-six and has been in remission since his early twenties! If the cut is starting to heal then this means that you are starting to recover from a situation.
What The Scratches On The Fingers Mean
Placement of the scratch on the finger is very significant. But we will go with the basics for now. Do you remember what each of the fingers stand for? If you don’t I suggest going back to Part 1 and reviewing.
Thor (thumb)
On the tip ~ Watch your tongue – if the pad of the thumb is soft you may be saying yes way to often and will be recieving backlash for it, if it is to hard watch out for your aggressive nature as you may recieve a hurtful and negative response.
On the stem (in between base and knuckle line) ~ If the two lines are close together and there is a cut it means that you will be going into a situation (or you already have) where diplomacy was called for. However you didn’t give an inch and may have lost out because of it. If the two lines are further apart it means that you may have given to much and now have to face the crappy end of a deal.
Odin (pointer finger)
On the tip ~ Although Odin does denote life lessons and learning spiritual arts we cannot forget that he was Grand Poobah of the Gods in Valhalla. The finger or Odin also talks about leadership. If there is a scratch on the tip, you may be going into a situation where your ego is going to be bruised or your leadership role challenged.
On the stem (in between base and top knuckle line) ~ If I saw this on a client I would tell them to watch out because past insecurities and feelings of negativity are going to come back to haunt them!
Hoenir (middle finger)
On the tip ~ If the cut is leaning towards the Bragi (ring finger) then watch out for an event that is going to knock you on your bum. If it is heading toward the Odin (the pointer finger) you are going to be in a situation that you do not see a way out of. Don’t let your pessimism get the best of you.
On the stem (in between base and top knuckle) ~ Look out for some challenges to your ethics or morals and tough life lessons.
Braggi (ring finger)
On the tip ~ Bragi rules the emotions so you really need to be aware when you get a cut on this finger. If it’s on the tip it’s arguments and a new wound.
On the stem (in between base and top knuckle) ~ Reopening old wounds. You will be in a situation that will remind you of ones from the past. Be aware though that this is not the same situation.
Loki (pinky finger)
On the tip ~ I would be careful over the next couple of weeks because communication may lead to hurt feelings on both sides. So just be aware of what you say and what other people are saying to you.
On the stem (in between base and top knuckle) ~ You wit is usually pretty good at getting you out of situations, unfortunately this time it’s not going to work. You will come into a situation that your communicative skills will not be able to fix.
Alrighty, so that is it for this lesson, now go and see if your friends have any scratches. I love to hear from people who have tried out the exercises. Drop me a line or leave a comment!
